Like YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, it's very funny in its own right but if you have enjoyed drive-in flicks like TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE or FROM HELL IT CAME, there's an extra depth of resonance in its handling of all the conventions of that genre.Īll the trouble starts with a glowing meteorite of the extremely rare radioactive element Atmosphereum crashing in the mountains of northern California. It hits all the right notes, going just that little bit too far with the shamelessly cheap special effects and illogical explanations that made those films so lovable.
